Default Allow me to introduce myself...

Warm greetings to everyone! I have officially been diagnosed with PCOS for 2 weeks now and I must say it's a relief. For years I have been going back and forth to the Dr and they only treating each individual symptom NOT looking at the whole bigger picture. It wasnt until I went to my new Primary Dr about being super tired that this all came about. They were so positive I had a thyroid problem but after all the blood tests came back negative for thyroid they finally did an ultrasound and low and behold ... the holy grail! It's nice to finally know whats been wrong all these years.

I am just anxious for everything to be set in motion. I just started Metformin 2 weeks ago and changed my diet so hopefully the weight will start to fall off. I guess you can say I'm "lucky" b/c I am 5'11 and my last weigh in was at 201lbs but I dont look like I'm over weight...or so my friends tell me. The thing that annoys me the most is the excessive hair. Its gross and makes me very self-consious.

I am excited to read through everyone's posts and get a little more in-debth information about PCOS from Cysters who actually live with it!

Thumbs up Welcome!!

Isn't it a total rellief to find this site?? I was also diagnosed...this week. Unlike you I felt overwhelmed at first, however now that I have talked with some of the wonderful ladies on this site I am able to see that it is a good thing that I have nailed down my infirtility culprit and am able to make the neccessary changes.

I am really glad that you have joined and hope to hear some of your success here in the future!

Welcome, all of you, to SC! This site is amazing and definitely helps no matter what stage you are in. I have been dx for 10+ years and until recently was not TTC. I will be back on that track in another 3 months, hopefully.

Let me know if I can help answer any questions or you just want to chat.
