How long have you been on the metformin? Were your cycles irregular before? It takes the metfomin a little while to kick in and work to get your hormones in line so that you will ovulate. Also, are you charting your temperatures? That helps a lot to figure out when you have ovulated. To help predict the next month for when to try.
I don't know if this will make you feel better or not, but at least you are 21 finding out that you have PCOS. I went to a doctor when I was 19 about my irregular cycles and all she did was put me on birth control pills and not investigate the cause. So, nine years later when I stopped the pills so DH and I could TTC I couldn't figure out why I wasn't ovulating or having a period. After a couple of rounds of induced periods with progesterone and a few more doctor visits I was diagnosed with PCOS. I keep thinking that I wish I had known about it a long time ago and may have done some things differently.
Also, the more you stress about not getting pregnant the harder it is to get pregnant, thanks to the stress hormones!
When the time is right, it will happen!
