Default Alopecia

Does anywhere else have alopecia?
I have had it since a kid and then High school and plus some, it seemed to go into remission.
Last few years it goes through some pretty crazy phases... worst it ever been. Hair patches are big, some small, some gross back, some is not .

Yes I do have Alopecia. It started when I was 8 (now 23) I lost pretty much all of my hair when I started out but now it follows my cycle.

Is there anything that you are doing to help the regrowth?
I get the shots in my scalp and MAN! it hurts.... so I have them do the areas that are not as sensitive.
So My big spots around the ear and back by the neck don't get the shots.

Wondering if there is something else that I can do

I use Rogaine twice a day (morning/night) and it has helped me out but have never heard of the shots...

Do you know what type of alopecia you have ?

I ahve androgen genetica alopecia from PCOS due to the high androgens this type of alopecia is a gradual thinning of hair throughout the scalp and certain areas are more affected mine is the temples and hairline pretty much like a bloke ..

Yours you say is in patches sounds more like alopecia areata to me ... has your doctor recommended anything such as steroid shots ?
