Well I'm newly diagnosed and start my first round of Clomid Friday and up until today I was really excited but Now I'm already feeling defeated. For some reason I now have it in my head it's just not going to work... that nothing is ever going to work, and I'll remain childless. I honestly don't know why all of a sudden I'm feeling like this, maybe I'm just getting myself ready for a BFN so I won't be disappointed as much?
I just feel so much pressure like this HAS to work and Soon because My Husband will most likely be deploying for his 3rd freakin' year anytime now!
How do you ladies stay positive all the time?

awww hun. Listen, i am a firm believer that if you start off thinking something won't work, then it won't. the negative effects your body. I know it's hard to keep a positive attitude. Trust me, i have been through a lot more than someone my age should. But you just have to hold on to a little bit of hope. even if it's just a little. Try starting by picturing it working in your mind. whether you believe it or not, just try seeing it in your mind. And remember that just because something doesn't take the first time (or maybe it will!) doesn't mean it never will. don't give up. Feel free to message me anytime if you need more support! You're in my thoughts! my positive thoughts.

Hoping4anarmybrat - I know the feeling. We must stay positve at these times. Like attracts like. It may not have worked this time, and that's ok, but next time we'll get it right. Just keep in your mind it's gonna work. The desire is too strong for it not to work. Remember to stay relaxed. They say things come when you least expect it - that is because you are relaxed. I know it will work out for you. Your in my prayers.

I felt the SAME way but if you look at my siggy you will see that I have a 3 mo. old DD! I have done clomid and had it work.. and not work. But that's not the last option even if it doesn't. Clomid, trigger shots, IUI, IVF, Ovarian drilling.. There are options out there so don't get discouraged.

I know how you feel. It is important to stay positive (anyone read "the Secret" lol?) but sometimes it's so hard. And, the more upbeat you are, the harder you fall when that BFN comes.
I know when I use FF to chart, once I O it says, "If you conceived this cycle, your due date would be..." And as much as I try not to, I start thinking, "Oh, a May baby! That would be nice! We could take him for walks on warm summer evenings, and her first Christmas would be so much fun..." And then I get the BFN and AF comes and everything is gone.
But I agree that it is important to stay positive, and try to tell yourself, "We're being proactive. We're taking steps that should really increase our chances of getting a BFP. And if it doesn't happen this cycle, there are many more things we can try next time. And there are lots of women on this board that have faced this same situation and now have one (or two or three) healthy children at home."
By the way, I know that the Clomid itself made me have days when I was completely despondent. I would have trouble getting out of bed, with severe depression, and I would think, "How could I be so foolish to think that I could be a mother?" And within 24 hours it was gone and I was back to a normal state of mind - guardedly hopeful. So if that's happening to you on the Clomid, then just give yourself a break for a day or two, curl up in bed and sip tea and eat chocolate. Those crazy mood swings will pass with the rest of them!
