Alright, I've tried the Avon Anew Clinica 2-step peel for 2 weeks now One set has enough for 2 months..used every other day as directed. So I've used it 2 weeks, every other day,and now taken several days off. The first time nothing happened..the second time it stung just a tad at the end..the third time it started burning the whole time..and by the fourth time it stung so bad I had to rinse it off and go ahead and use the neurtralizer pad immediately. I kept doing it anyway, and I used it around my mouth, including on my lips and eyes (cuz they have wrinkles...) anyway..... it made my skin really soft, and took all the rough patches away, made it really smooth, and radiant..it did take all the surface dead skin away. However, by the end of two weeks, an area on my cheek, around my eyes, my lips, around my mouth on my face...was red and peeling in a not good way, and sore, and raw..I had to stop using it, and start putting polysporin, especially around my eyes. I use retin-a micro though every other night..maybe thats what did it, I don't know. But anyway..the main point is, it'd be worth it, if it had really done something more than it did. It didn't get rid of asingle blackhead, didn't help scarring or lines at all either.. I think the results could be gotten other ways...like a gentle scrub or something (but the retin-a doesn't make my skin smooth and soft though). Interesting, I wasn't red at all, except on my lips, which I stopped doing after a couple times when my lips split, until the last time I did it, and my skin freaked out. It wasn't serious burns, but it was quite quite aggrevating--because its only 10%, and it didn't do anything. Though I guess its a lot to expect for just using it 2 weeks. I'd be better if I could use it 2 months..but ARGH now I won't be able to use what I bought. Has anyone else used it? I hate to report negative results... |
