Default Alternative Medicine Remedies

I am currently seeing a Dr. that practices alternative medicine. I have a list of things I am going to be taking along with a diet. Has anyone experience success with this regimen or what did/do you use?

Herbs: Vitex(Femaprin), Donq Quai, Black Cohosh, Saw Palmetto, Evening Primrose Oil.
Supplements: B complex, multivitamin, GTF Chromium, Fish Oil.

No refined Carbs, and minimal caffeine.

Exercise: Resistence Training like weight lifting, swimming, yoga pilates or walking. NO cardio exercises.

I have am AO, non-IR, and have hypothyroidism.

Suppose to start all of this on Thursday! Wish me luck.
In your opinion do you think I should add or discontinue anything?
Thanks!

Actually the Dr. put me on a complete different thing. I am on a special diet. It has phases. I'm on phase I right now and I can only have organic vegetable, organic red meat, fish, chicken. I can eat eggs but the must be organic also. I can have only berries and apples. But for every serving of fruit I eat I must eat two servings of vegetables. I can only drink water. And I am only suppose to drink when I am thirsty but no more than 4 oz w/ a meal.
NO SUGARS! WHEAT! OR GRAIN! <---that's HARD!
I am also taking Standard Process Supplements.
He did this test on me when a machine which measures electrical currents through out my body. It tell you what areas your body is lacking. And plans to restore those areas through proper diet, exercise, and organic whole food supplements.

At first I was like the guy is crazy! He is a quack! But, I have been doing it for two weeks now. I must say the first thing I noticed was my acne has really gotten better. I can tell I am losing weight. I am not overweight but I did have a slight pudge on my stomach. Well, It's gone!
I have hypothyroidism and he even told me to stop taking my meds. He want's for me to do the diet for 1 month, come back in do the test again. See what is says. If it says I am good he wants to do additional blood work to confirm my thyroid levels are good.
Within time he said I could slowly introduce foods back into my diet. My within reason. All I know is if this clears up my acne, I no longer have to take synthroid everyday, and I finally get my BFP! It will all be worth it.
I will keep you posted on how it all works out.

nice to hear that.
I'm actually doing the same diet for over a month now.my acne is getting alittle better but its hard to say really.
I stopped accutane abt 6 months ago andmy doc put meon BCP but I had a horrible reaction to it so 2 months a go I stopped everything and stareted the diet.
allIcan say is that my overall health is way better.but I'm so sick of this diet now,all I eat is chicken+veg and red meat once a week and ofcourse everything is organic.and also i found out I can't have salmon anymore eventhough it'sgood source of omega 3 but I broke me out crazy.one thing umight wanna try and it sort of helped my acne alot is omega 3 diet whatever I eat I sort of make sure the ratio of omega 3 and 6 to be the same.so now my skin is less oily.
keep me posted on your diet
thx

The diet is hard. Sometimes I just want to cry b/c I cannot eat the foods I want too. I have to cook for my DH. For example his favorite food is Mac & Cheese. So when I cook it I have to taste it to make sure the noodles are done. I actually tasted the noodle then spit it out! How horrible. All I can drink is PURIFIED water too. Sometimes I cheat, but not a lot. He is also going to want me to do a Candida cleanse, and a liver cleanse. I have never had a yeast infection but he says it is all part of PCOS. I guess we will see.
