I am not able to tolerate Met or Byetta due to the gastro side effects from both of them. I have severe insulin resistance and am not currently treating it and I really need something! I don't see my GYN that treats my insulin resistance until November but I want to get something to treat it before I go back to him. My PCP is not that familiar with PCOS but he will prescribe anything I ask for. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should ask for?

Jenny - other drugs that are targeted towards diabetes patients include Glumetza (another form of Met), Actos, Avandia...maybe look in the diabetes forum for other drugs related to insulin resistance that folks are on. HTH...
