Default am i suffering from something besides pcos

hi i am a 17 year old girl who has been diagnosed with pcos 1 year ago i have had my period since i was about 9 or 10 and facial hair since i was about 10 or 11. i have also had body hair since i was around 6 or 7 i have never been overweight nor underweight in my entire life so i was wondering if this was normal for someone with pcos or if there is another underlying disease

Excess hair growth is not uncommon in women with pcos. It's quite possible you have something else, too, but to make sure, you might want to talk to your doctor.

In the meantime, there are several stickies at the top of this forum that will explain pcos, hirsutism, and remedies a bit further.

You can be of "average" weight and still have PCOS.
I was always average weight in my teens and 20's but still had irregular periods and hormones imbalances that were diagonosed as PCOS.

Ever since I hit my 30's I've put on some poundage, but I'm working to get rid of it now.

So yes, you can have pcos even if you are of average weight.
