I have been on 1500 mg of met for a month now (taking 3 500mg pills a day). I take all three pills at once but, from reading the posts, I see that many of you take them at different times during the day. Am I taking them correctly? Does it matter? Please help!!!!
U have to take them 3 times with each meal!! It will be easier for ur belly
So one with breakfast, one with lunch and last with supper!

I didn't have any trouble taking mine all at once... but everyone is different

You're on regular met right? Not ER? If so you should at least split your pills into a couple of doses. Met doesn't last really long in your body. So you are getting a huge wack of met once a day then it gets used up. By the time you take it again the next day you've had all the met out of your system for a while.

I am taking regular met. Thanks guys for the responses! I just hate taking pills so I like to take them all at once to get it over with. I don't want it to run out in my system, so I'll try taking it 3 times a day!
What about twice a day? I'm not a big on lunch. I either eat something small or nothing at all....and with metformin I have to eat a med/large meal to not get heartburn would it be okay to take 750mg (1 1/2 pills) in the morning and evening?
