I will start with the date of my sons finalization 11/06/99. He is now 8 and boy how time flies. This has been quite a year. Last Christmas I had come to the conclusion that I was done ttc and when people would ask if I would adopt again I would state that I didn't want to go through a homestudy and then wait on a list. God himself would have to put a baby in my arms if I was gonna adopt again. New years day came around and I received a call from one of my husbands employee's ex-girlfriends. I had met her 4 yrs prior at a christmas party and that was it. She called to ask if my husband and I would consider adopting her baby girl that was due in 6wks. I was dumb founded and immediately said yes. We got a attorney and a agency to do your homestudy and procceded towards adoption. (God sure has a sense of humor!) Our daughter was born 02/18/06 and I was there to cut her umbilical cord. The hospital even set us up in our own labor and delivery room so she could room with us. I was able to breast feed her and 2 days later we took her home. Time certainly flies because her I am in October with a beautiful 8mo daughter and handsome 8yr old son and I just received a call from the social worker with our daughters finalization date. It comes full circle because her finalization date is 7 yrs to the day after our son's adoption November 6, 2006. I would have to say I have been blessed more than I deserve. I hope my story inspires you to know that dreams do come true.
