    Hello,

I stumbled across this site doing some research on possible cures or managing tools for my diagnoses of PCOS. For many years my aunt (who works for a pharmaceutical company) had been telling me that I had PCOS, but I pretty much brushed her off because I had been to several doctors and none mention this. None until 3 months ago. He did an ultrasound and other test. I also had some of the tell tell signs such as the excessive hair growth (which I get laser treatments for). Before I was diagnosed my main issues was the excessive hair growth ( I looked as if I was turning into a man..AAAAAAAAWWWW). It was if I went from a clear and beautiful skin young woman to a hairy guy overnight...Now that I am older 30 to be exact I've attempted to conceive and i'm getting nothing. On top of that its getting really difficult to lose weight. My greatest fear is never conceiving, and the hairgrowth neverending...
has anyone had a success story with the two???

    Welcome to SC

I too had trouble ttc for my 2nd and 3rd child. I was put on provera and clomid and it worked. As far as hair growth, yes I have facial hair too and I also get lazer treatment for it. It seems to be helping me. I can usually go 5 weeks between treatments. As a matter of fact I have to be there in 45 minutes (this will be my 3rd treatment).

Are you on any meds for the PCOS yet? I was put on metformin just over 2 weeks ago and with eating healthier and walking at least a mile everyday sometimes a mile and a half I lost 15 pounds in the 2 weeks. Could be more by not (I am hoping) but I have not got on the scale in almost 1 week.

    Good luck to you

    (((HUGS)))

    Welcome cyster!

Sorry for what you're going through, just know that we're here for you

For me, it was metformin that helped the most. On it I lost weight, had more "normal" cycles, and got pregnant. I hope this will encourage you..

It's nice to have you here, if there's anything I can do to help, please feel free to ask

    Hugs and babydust
