Default Amount of Progesterone Cream to Use

I started using 1/2 tsp. of natural progesterone cream 2x/day (AIM brand) last month. I have somewhat regular AF (35-50 days) but I'm not ovulating at all. I was hoping that the cream would help me to ovulate. AF came within 5 days of starting the cream. It was weird because I had a moderate flow AF for 7 days, then it stopped for a day, then I spotted off and on for 1 1/2 weeks, then AF came again, at the time that I normally would've started without the cream. I couldn't figure that one out. So I basically had AF for almost 3 weeks. Anyway, on the 1/2 tsp. 2x/day, I was having some symptoms that are listed as when you are using too much (a feeling of euphoria, sleepy, etc.) so I reduced to 1/8 tsp. 1x/day when I started it this cycle. Now, I can't even tell that I'm using it (I'm on day 7 of the cream - 2nd cycle) so I'm thinking that I'm not using enough now.

Help! How do you know how much cream to use?

Thanks,
Michele

Is that how much the label said to use? All the ones I've heard of say to use 1/4 Tsp. I used that and it worked great. I felt a little sick but AF came and it was worth it!

I dont' believe that natural progesterone cream is effective at getting you to ovulate.. it is a "post ovulatory treatment".. used to maintain a pregnancy, or to build up progesterone in a non ovulatory cyle so that you can have a period...

I think there are herbs out there that might be more affective for you.. like Vitex, black Cohosh(sp??) and Dong Quai....

I believe as scarletakb.
NPC won't make you ovulate.

As far as how much cream to use. Usually, the cream are formulated with 1000 mg or 1 G of Wild Yam in 60 cc or 2 oz and the recommended dose is 20 mg twice a day wich is the equivalent of 1/4 of a tea spoon for 14 days or 21 if you want to use it as a contraception method (but we usually don't need that do we?!)
