Default Anemia?

I'm currently cd 3 and i'm pretty sure i'm anemic. I'm exhausted to the point that I can't keep my eyes open, i'm having an incredibly heavy period and my my arms and legs feel like lead. Does anyone know of any way to help boost my energy? My doctor is out of town until next wednesday and I don't want to wait that long. Thanks

You need to take iron tablets. This will build your stregnth back up until you can get to the doctor. They have them in any vitamin aisle (they're cheaper at Wal-Mart). Just take one per day and you should be fine.

I wanted to add that iron causes constipation so you might want to add colace as well.
We just found out that I have slight anemia due to pregnancy. My OB told me to add an iron supplement and/or start eating foods that are rich in iron. Also told me that I could take the iron tablets every other day in hopes to avoid the constipation issue, because my pre-natal also has iron in it.

You might also have a problem with B12, which helps with the absorption of iron. I recommend taking a sublingual B12 tablet (your body absorbs it better under the tongue). I have the same problem and have been on iron and B12 AND a multivitamin for years. I still test on the lowest end of the scale when they check my iron, and often go under.
