Default Another Clomid question (sorry :()

Anyone have major mood swings - feeling like you're hanging on by a thread kind of feelings while taking Clomid. I started 150 mg on Sunday and just that night I wigged out and had a huge fight with my in-laws. Since then I just feel so emotional and can't seem to get a grip on things. I did call my doctor's office and am waiting for a call back. I just wondered if I was a weirdo or what.
Thanks!

i get extremely emotional and edgy on clomid, too. thankfully it only lasts the 5 days i am taking it, but it's rough while it lasts! my brother-in-law says he loves talking to me on the phone (he lives with my sister in louisiana) during my clomid week because i am CRAZY! hahaha!

take care,
kim

My mood swings were a lot worse the first time I took it. I still have the mood swings when taking the clomid but I guess I expect it and am able to handle it a little better because I just know it's from the meds.

Thanks for your help ladies - thankfully I only have today and tomorrow left to take it. I called the doctor's office about it and they will not be putting me up to 200 mg next month if this dosage doesn't work. We'll have to try something else I guess.

You may want to see if your doctor would prescribe Femara... just as effective as clomid without the side effects.

I don't get real moody, I just get soooooo tired, a little grumpy and I feel like I want to cry all the time. Thank goodness it's only 5 days!!! But, I just finished with it yesterday, so hopefully things will be better soon!!! Hope you can make it through ok!

The first 3 times I took Clomid, (March-June 2004) I did not have "mood" side effects.

In December 2004 I took it again with no side effects. But in January and February 2005 when I took it...WATCH OUT WORLD! I was a sniveling mess for the last 3 days that I took it. It was horrendous. I think it is just a nasty side effect and something to plan for and deal with.

I had horrible s/e on 50 and 100 mg. Nausea, mood swings, and hot flashes. The night sweats lasted the WHOLE month for me.

I did ovulate, though.

I, too, am glad it's only 5 days though my doctor's nurse mentioned that it stays in your system one day after you finish taking it. I never realized that before. Thank goodness today is the final day so I'm done. It was just so weird cause when I took it 5 years ago I never had any side effects and never went through as much as I am now - i.e. U/S and progesterone tests. Thankfully he's said we won't be trying Clomid - but it's not going to be needed cause it's going to work this time. At least that's what I keep telling myself so I stay positive. Thanks for all your help ladies.

I also had extreme mood swings on Clomid. What's strange though is, it seemed worse AFTER I finished the 5-days, rather then during.
