Unfortunately, the bean stopped growing at 6 weeks and the heartbeat just keeps slowing down more. It was 79 2 Fridays ago and this past Friday it was down to 68.
I've stopped my progesterone suppositories and am waiting this weekend to see if I'll start bleeding. I'll get another beta done on Tuesday if I haven't, and if it's gone down then I will be a candiate for a D&C if I want one. If it still continues to go up (which I suspect it may) then I still have to wait.
I'm doing ok though. I was preparing for this over the last few weeks. I feel gypped that I'll never have a worry free time in a pregnancy. I had no spotting or bleeding this time and everything seemed fine.
On the other hand, I feel blessed that I'm not in New Orleans or in the middle of a natural disaster. I'm healthy, my family is healthy, and we are doing fine in the economy.
I will say that (in my opinion) it's easier when you lose the baby earlier than later. I guess I always suspected it and it sucks either way, but it really is a little easier when you don't have to deliver and give birth to an actual deceased baby. Not that I'm not miscarrying a "baby" but there's no brain or sensitivity to pain or anything like that at this stage. The only possible pain is to me.... and that's ok.
So far, no pain.

I am starting over. I have been working on my PCOS since 2002 - but never tried to take care of me for me (I was always focused on trying to have a baby). I have given up that dream and am focusing on me now.
So far all I can do is wait. I hope things go quickly so that I can TTC again. 2005 has been a bad year so far and I'm sure I won't be pregnant before the end of the year, but that's fine with me.

It sure has been a bad year for you!
I'm so sorry, Jules. You've suffered enough already, and now the waiting starts... I hope it's quicker than you think.
Loads of Hugs,
Sheri

Julianne-I love your name, it was a top pick name for one of our twins.
I am so sorry that you are loosing your baby. It doesn't make sense. I know you had to battle with the Dr to get your progesterone. My Dr said that he was going to add progesterone next time. My prayers go out to you and your baby. HUGS to you.
ps thanks for the rainbow, you are a sweetie.
