Cool Another new member!
Jut wanted to drop in and say hello! My name is Rachel and I was just diagnosed today. I am a nursing student - but that by no means knows that I have any idea what PCOS is all about - I am learning too!! I am on Yaz and will be starting Metformin on Friday. I am very nervous about starting this medication just because I am one of those people who get every side effect in the book!! I am also gettign married in December and hope that I can loose quite a bit of weight by then! We will see!!

I am really thankfull for this website - it has given me a lot of information!!! And all of the ladies seem soooooo nice and helpful!! I hope I can be an active and useful member as well.

Welcome! You and I have something in common...side effects. I am trying to work out, change my diet and use some of the alternative treatments. I have six months before I decide it's time to try scripts. There are other ways.

BTW congrats on getting married in Dec!

metformin is a medication used to control blood sugars in diabetics but for PCOS it can help to lose weight and get pregnant
