Hi everyone! I am new to the board and just recently "officially" diagnosed last month, though I've known for awhile I had PCOS. I've lurked around for a little bit and thought it was time to come out of hiding.

Welcome out of the shadows! There's some neat people on here.... enjoy! So is it a relief then to finally have the "official" diagnosis? I didn't even know what PCOS was. My doc just kinda did a "You probably already know this, but you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome". I think she could tell by my "uhh... who's a what now?" expression that I had no idea. Feel free to ask any questions, the boards are very helpful.

Yeah, it's totally a relief. It's like I can finally DO something about it now that I know for sure what it is and I'm not just a crazy freak of nature.
