Hi everyone. I'm new to the board. My name is Robyn and I'm 25 years old. I was just diagnosed in July and have been doing a lot of research. I've already had 2 opinions from OB/GYNs (I didn't really like the first one) and I have and appointment with a RE on Tuesday. I really think he'll have a better idea of the correct approach to take other than BCP, since I really don't want to take them and that is all the OB/GYNs suggested. I've been with my boyfriend for a little over 5 years and he's currently in the United States Marines, so that's making this a little bit harder to get through.
I'm really glad that I found this site, knowing that there are other people like me and that I'm not a "freak!"
Welcome to SC robyn, i too was told by my OBgyne to take BCPs which only made my acne worse, you could say i went doctor shopping because i went through a lot of doctors before finding a good one the last one was a RE who finally was able to help me and told me to get blood tests and perscribed me metformin. soul cysters definetly helped me understand pcos more.

Robyn, welcome to SoulCysters. Glad you found us. Good girl on doing your own research, it always helps have know more about it than to just have some dr. just throw you on bc or say nothings wrong. Good luck with the RE.
