Question Another newbie!

Hi girls, I was diagnosed last week, finally! I had the same tests done 4 years ago which didn't show anything up even though I've had most symptoms from puberty. I havent ovulated in over 2 years, thankfully I have a gorgeous 5 year old son. I have hair everywhere and I'm not talking downy bum fluff! This has had a huge impact on my self esteem over the years but maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have just had glucose and cholestrol tests today so have to wait and see. Does anybody have an idea of what I can expect now?

Merry Christmas everyone

Welcome Nettie.... I see your in the UK, me too! For me I was refferred to the hospital where I had a scan to determine if I had cysts or not.... then because I am not TTC (lack of man in that department....) I was given Metformin, which is I hope going to control the PCOS or at least do something + my type 2 diabetes!

Have you bee reffered to the hospital?

Welcome to Soul Cysters. There is a whole lot of treatment options available. Some people use drugs such as metformin or avandia. Some people use low carb diets. Some people use wholistic treatments. If someones tried it, they'll be here to tell you about it.

Browse around and be sure to check out the research articles section. There's a lot of great info to be had here at Soul Cysters. But even better than that, there's a lot of great people to talk to!
