Hi everyone. I'm Kelley and I was looking up some info about PCOS when I found this site. I'm pretty gald that I did. I've known for over 2 years that I have PCOS, but other than a younger cousin of mine, I don't know anyone else with it. Sometimes that can be very frustrating and a bit lonely. My cousin is on a whole different life page than I am, so talking to her about this isn't really possible.
Anyway, like I said, I was diagnosed over 2 years ago. I'm not on any medication anymore. My husband and I are still hoping for babies one day soon. I'm researching the alternatives to medicines, such as herbs and acupunture. I'm told yoga (which I've done for years) can also be beneficial.
I hope to learn quite a bit more about PCOS and at least meet some people to talk to when I have those dark days. Talk to you all soon.
Metformin helped me the most, along with a basic low-calorie low-carb diet and exercise. On met my periods became more regular, I lost weight, and I got pregnant. I hope this will be encouraging to you..

The cysters here can probably tell you about anything you want to know about alternative treatments. I'm taking cinnamon and chromium and doing well on those.
Hugs and babydust to you
Jenny
