Default Another Newbie

Hello ladies,

I am a newbie here, and I will share a little about myself.

My name is Lisa I am 26 yrs old. Dh is Ryan he is 40. We have been married for almost 2 years, and TTC since the night we were married. We have only had heart break. We had our first miscarriage last Dec. at about 4 wks. and the last Aug. I had a missed miscarriage at about 13 wks.

I had my first visit with my fertility Dr. yesterday, he diagnosed me with PCOS, something that I had never thought about, until I was doing some research yesterday, I have ALMOST all of the symptoms, except for painful BD-ing and wacky periods. I never thought of myself as having wacky periods because I am only 1 person, so I don't have them to compare to anything else. My cycles are about 32-35 days and only last for a day for two, (I just thought I was lucky)

Dr. gave me an RX for Metfolim (SP?) which I can start tonight
Looking forward to meeting with all of you, thanks for reading my story!

-L

Hi! Welcome. Getting started on Met can sometimes be rough. Your system can react to different foods, some people say yogurt, fatty foods, too many carbohydrates. Hang in there it will get better, do eat with the medication and I don't know if you got metformin or Metformin XR (extended release), but sometimes if your system cannot handle Metformin, it can handle Metformin XR. Good luck and welcome to the club! Do lots of reading and everyone is really nice and helpful. Take care!
