Default Another Newbie

Hi! I am new to the site. I am not new to PCOS. I have been dealing with these hormonal issues all my life, back when I started puberty at the ripe old age of 7 (got my period at 10). I developed such hairy arms and a mustache. I was thin as a child though and up until I had my first child. Most people hear that I was 16 when I had my fist and assume that shows my fertility. What they don't know is that I had been having sex for 2 years without protection. My 2nd child took just under two years to conceive. During the time between those two I gained weight, the hair on my face became worse and my periods were even more erratic, with times being as long as 10 months without a sign. After the birth of my 2nd child I wanted to have another and have my last two children closer together (my first two were 4 1/2 years apart) so we started trying when my middle son was 6 months. Six years later after bleeding for 5 weeks I was finally diagnosed with PCOS (and still not pregnant). I am 5'2" and my weight was at 215lbs. I was now shaving my face every day. I knew for awhile that I could possibly have PCOS, but no Doctor would believe me. They told me to lose the weight, they didn't want to hear that these problems weren't new to the weight gain (thank you military Doctors). I had a wonderful female Doc who as soon as she diagnosed me saw to it that I saw someone who could help me get pregnant which is what my goal at the time was. With many tests and drugs I finally conceived. After the birth of my youngest son (6 years ago) the military Doctors then decided I was cured of PCOS because I had given birth. I struggled 4 more years before I was lucky enough to come across I Doctor who was willing to refer me to an Endocrinologist. I am finally getting the Meds I need. But it has been a long trip. There were quite a few downfalls, even after seeing the Endocrinologist. Anyway I am happy to be here and happy to be able to talk to other people who understand what I am going through!
