I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 14, I'm now 27. I was put on bcp to regulate periods and came off last july to ttc. I was really positive as periods seemed to go back to a regular cycle straight away, however after a couple of months they started getting longer and i had spotting in between cycles. Last Dec i had an 8 week cycle and I thought - here we go, the PCOS is kicking in, then was totally shocked to get pg in January. Unfortunately, baby had an ntd and we had no option but to terminate for sake of baby in March. Hospital let me bleed for 10 weeks before doing an erpc as the placenta hadnt come away. I then had a 2 week bleed. Nothing for 6 weeks then on 27th July started spotting - had a 3 week period of spotting/light flow, then 59 days later started my next cycle. Now spotting waiting for a flow. Had loadsa spotting in between, bloating (I have IBS too which isnt nice!!), constant period pain, spots. Forgot to mention Ive also put on 2 stone since coming of bcp that i cant shift.
We really really want a baby. Ive got 6 nieces/nephews and now want some for myself!
Doc doesnt seem interested, he knows i have pcos but is sending me for 21day bloods anyway. He's told me to wait til i have a period 'flow' even though my periods only consist of spotting, so I might be waiting for the tests forever.
So, sorry its so long, but this is me! Trying to lose weight and on the first steps to fertility treatment....
