I can't believe I haven't joined here before. I've been to the soul cysters website, but not here. I was hoping there was a place like this out there.
I tried joining a mommy board, but their TTC area is very tiny and I think there is maybe one other person with PCOS...
About me:
I'm Brie - 25 y/o graphic designer in College Station, TX. I've had PCOS for a while, but my doc finally confirmed it about a year ago. I've never ever had a normal period and for the last five years I pretty much don't get them... ever.
I had to stop taking the metformin because I couldn't go back to the doc and get the crazy expensive blood test required for the prescription. However! I just got a new (University) job, so my insurance is amazing. I'll be going to get treatment very soon.
My husband, Jon (24) and I want to start a family very soon (hah!). We haven't been using protection for about three years now, hoping for an oops... but, yeah, we all know how that goes.
Anyway, it's nice to finally be where people know what I'm talking about, and don't think that we'll be preggo any day now...
