Hello everyone! The name is Ashton, and I'm very pleased to meet everyone.
I'm a 14-year-old female(well, duh) currently living in a small town in the state of Oregon. I have not been 'officially' diagnosed with PCOS just yet, but my testosterone levels are twice the normal levels. I'm obese for my age, I have not started my periods, I have very, very severe acne, dandruff-y hair, hair on my face and chest, and finally I seem to have some dark-brown skin on my neck and chest. (Funny story actually-my Grandma thought it was actually dirt and I wasn't washing myself good enough and made me lay down and scrubbed my neck for half an hour...didn't help that much.)
My current doctor has suggested PCOS and I'm going to see someone that can confirm it for sure tomorrow. I hope I'll be able to take medication and I can't wait when everything gets better for me in my health. (I've been on a diet for a couple months now, but I haven't lost any weight) So hello!
Welcome! Make sure that you speak to your doctor before you "diet". Because you are so young you need to be careful that you don't do more damage than good. The sooner you learn healthy eating habit the easier it will be when you get older to stick to. I'm pretty sure that I developed PCOS when I was very young, but my parents disagreed. Take your doctors advise!
Good Luck!

My doctor was actually the one that suggested I started dieting when I spoke to her about my weight issues. She and I made up a plan for my diet that is actually very easy for me to follow-and I currently check up with her every two weeks to see how I am doing. So we are making sure that the diet is doing me more good than bad.
