Wink Another Newbie - Just an Intro!

Hello all! Well I have been lurking for awhile now because I thought that I may have PCOS. Well it was finally confirmed to me last Thursday.

I have just started reading a book about PCOS and I know I will have a ton of questions but I can't think of them right now.

just a little background on me. I am 28 and DH is 27. We just started TTC in January after 6 long years of just waiting to try. We decided to wait until this year to try because DH is in the Navy and is finally getting out July 22nd! I have always wanted to me a SAHM as long as I can remember but I didn't want to be a single mom while DH was out on deployments so we decided to wait. Well you can imagine my shock after 6 months of trying and all BFN's!!

I have been tracking my cycles since February and it seems as though as I as was ovulating but maybe I wasn't. I am not sure how that works as I thought that if you had PCOS you weren't ovulating. I am going to try and update my profile with my fertility friend chart so if anybody has anybody ideas you can let me know. I have read the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility front to back about a million times and that is when I started to question my thoughts on PCOS.

I have also been using the Ovacue to detect ovulation and that is when I started noticing that something was weird with my progesterone and that is when I decided to make an appointment with my doctor. To make a long story short she ordered bloodwork and called me to say that everything came back normal. I was shocked so I asked them to fax me the results. My testosterone was a little high but everything else was in normal range.

Since then I have been timing BD perfectly but still BFN's. I decided to fax my results to a family friend that is an OBGYN and he called me back on Thursday to say that I am textbook PCOS. My FSH to LH ratio is 3:1, my testosterone is high and I have struggled with my weight since college. I just thought I couldn't lose the weight that I gained in college but I also gained about 80lbs while there!!!

Sorry for the long introduction but I wanted to make sure that introduced myself!!
