    Unhappy Another one!

So I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS. I'm 19 and I've always suffered with irregular and really heavy periods resulting in anemia.
I've been reccomended to go onto the pill (Dianete) to help control my period and reduce the extra hair however I've always been reluctant about taking medication unless I really have to and the side affects seem to put me off as well.
I feel kind of lost and confused, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be going to my doctors to get check ups on blood pressure/ chelesterol and I'm scared I'll end up being infertile when I'm older...and I adore kids! =(
