Question Another Provera Question

Just wondering—for those who have taken Provera—did you find that it "jump-started" your period after that? As in, once you had your provera-induced AF, did it become regular after that? (not counting bcp regulation). I'm not on bcp and am hoping that after I take provera, it will make my period regular. My endo said that that will not happen, but I can't help but wonder if that worked that way for anyone.

It more than likely will not make that happen. I take provera every other month to bring on af.

Nope, provera tricks your body into thinking you O'd (you'd normally have increased progesterone after you O and then when it drops at the end of the luteal phase that causes AF). It only works the one time. I suppose it's possible that having AF could help regulate things a bit temporarily for a few women, but I wouldn't count on it with PCOS.
