I found out I was pg on Aug. 24th. I had a repeat betaon the 26th - and my hcg was down to 40. It's been about 10 days since I stopped progesterone support. I am still having very occasional spotting. I took another test this am and watched it for a line. I could see where the line should be - almost like I could see the leading edge of it. So I counted it as negative and went back to bed. When I looked at it later it seems to be a very light positive - darker than an evap line tho.

It was equate brand. Should I call the doc or just wait a few more days and take another?

Is it possible to conceive w/hcg in your system already? From what i understand about the hormone - it seems it would actually be helpful *if* you can O that is - (maybe that's why there's increased fertility?).

I would say that it probably couldn't hurt to have another beta done to see how your level looks. Maybe you'll need a D&C?

I'm not sure about the HCG question, but I do think that I heard that some ladies who do in vitro get HCG shots to help when the Dr puts the embryos in..... that's why they can't test right away because they could get a false positive.....

I'm just guessing here...

You can definitely conceive this "cycle". Are you temping? That might help to make sense of the whole mess. And the bleeding can be really strange even for the next couple of cycles, but with a very early loss, it will probably just be this one cycle. I wish this was easy for you!!

Thank you both!

Sheri - I am temping this cycle. But I didn't start right away - nevermind that my temps can be pretty erratic at first anyway.

I'm not overly concerned yet - but if I continue to get ++ hpt's I'm just not sure what that means..KWIM? Of course that's a what if...and what if's are evil things.
