Another ? re: prometrium

Ok, so I called and got prometrium yesterday ( I havent gotten a regular AF since my m/c in July)...Talk about some weird timing, I spotted a tiny bit yesterday before I started taking it...Like a teenie tiny bit. I thought maybe it was trying to come on it's own...So I took the first pill last night and today I'm spotting alittle heavier. Now, here's my question...If I was going to get AF on my own, and I take the prometrium, will it stop AF from coming now and wait until the pills are done or if AF was going to come, it will come anyway? I was thinking that if it gets heavier like AF then taking the prometium would be pointless....but I also don't want to take it and make AF go away....

I had the same problem I was prescribed the pills last Monday but Monday night AF came and since it was to bring her on I decided not to take the pills. I don't want to mess up what Mother Nature has been restoring for the last 4 months.

This is all i know it is supposed to stop it cause I had the opposite Heavy Bleeding & thatswhy I needed to take it & supposedly this is what the dr. told me that nOw I am warning you this is going to sound bad their are 3 different parts to your cervix & because I couldn't stop bleeding each section had its own cycle so it seemed to not stop but then part 2 would start and so on. So I was to take it to stop everything & then hopefully all 3 sections would catch up with each other 7 have Normal period. So I guess I would wait & see if mother Nature is doing its thing before i took it.
Hope this helps. I did 2 rounds of it & It didn't help so I am now doing the pogesterone Natural cream & I have 25-26 days no bleed with 3-4 AF! Worked first month & i can feel around day 10-15 my voaries (one side or the other) Hrt which i am assuming is ovulation. Not TTC...but I am placing odds I could!

Thanks guys for the replies....I think i will just start taking it...even if it stops AF, I won't have wasted a few days if it ended up not coming....I'm also going to start using NPC this cycle, I'm going to start today and use it until I stop taking the pills....

hey i dont know to much about progesterone pills but a similar thing happened to me earlier. i had not had AF since november last year, and in july i was prescribed some progesterone pills to bring her on. a couple of days before i planned to start taking them all of a sudden after nine months without a bleed she came! i was amazed!! thats interesting that u two had a similar reaction, who knows maybe it has something to do with a psychological response.

also i was wondering if anyone could anwer this question for me as i havent really got a definate answer. my doc told me to take the pills from day 1-14 of my cycle, is this normal? will this stop me ovulating? im not ttc but i dont want to prevent ovulation, is there any other way i could still use it while not stopping ovulation?
