Default Another Saw Palmetto question

Hi,
I've been eager to try Saw Palmetto after reading about it online here & various other places. I found a bottle in Walmart today & bought it. It is Spring Valley brand, standardized extract 160 mg. I was reading the fine print on the back as I was opening it to take my first dose when I saw this warning on the back:
Quote:
This product is intended for use by men and is not intended for use by women.
Um...is this a normal warning that is put on all saw palmetto bottles that I can safely ignore or should I not take this & look for another brand? Saw Palmetto is the only thing in these pills.

Thanks in advance!

Interested in the responses on this one...the only directions on mine specifically says for men with prostate cancer...but I'm taking them anyway.

they put that warning on there because you shouldn't use it if you are planning on becoming pregnant, pregnant, or breast feeding.

It blocks the conversion of dht so this could be potentially harmful to a male fetus.

Otherwise I think you're fine. It is marketed towards males, but plenty of females like us use this supp.

Hi & Thank you for the replies! I was thinking as much, but wanted to double-check. I do wonder why they don't just put a warning for pregnant women on there instead of implying that no women should take it?
