Default Another Soy ?

This is my first cycle taking soy and I was wondering if I should feel the same way I did on clomid. On clomid my ovaries would get very tender and that was a sign to me that O was coming. Will I have the same thing on soy?

You might. I didn't though. When I was on clomid I felt soooo bloated and uncomfortable in the days coming up to ovulate but I've not experienced that on soy. Everyone is different though. hth.

I agree with mommy...I didn't get the same symptoms on soy that I did when I took clomid..
I really don't like taking clomid...I get a lot of the bloating/weird pains when I take it and when I get AF after a clomid cycle it just doesn't 'look right' to me...I much prefer the soy, I ovulate each time without all the nasty side effects. hth.

i'm sorry for my ignorance, please be understanding and patient.

i had actually been told that soy is bad for pcos...i heard it will add to the androgen excess....i have been staying away from it as much as possible because of that.

again, i apologize for my ignorance, but if it's something that can be helpful for us, i'd love to know so i can try it and deal a little bit better with pcos symptoms. what's the accurate impact of soy for us cysters??

There is probably no one 'global' answer that will apply to all cysters. Mainly because no two women with pcos have the same 'issues.'

Some women with pcos eat soy (and they're fine), while others experience problems...

You might want to chat with your doctor or a nutritionist about this...maybe check PubMed to see if there is any further research.

thanks kat...that's a good point, we don't all go through the same things so it would affect each of us differently. thanks again for all of the information =D
