Default Another Splenda Question

I have another question about Splenda. Some of the recipes call for Splenda packets. How do they measure to the Granulars? 1 Packet = how much granulars? Some say you need 18 packets so that would be how much in cups or TBs?

I think that I will be buying the granulars. I am guessing that it is the same stuff as the packets...right? I know dumb question.

If I buy the packets and I need say a cup of sugar, can I just dump the packets until they make a cup?

TIA

18 packets of sweetner is about 3/4 of a cup.

I've used the packets of sweetner when I didn't have the granuals and you can pour them into a measuring cup. Can be a little time consuming though. I would suggest just buy the granuals.

I am not sure I get the question exactly...

If you are switching between packet splenda and granular (pourable) splenda, they do measure differently (you may have noticed that the pourable stuff is much fluffier). When I convert, I do so by g count. a cup of pourable (24g carb) is roughly equivalent to about 24 packets (which are 0.9 g carb each.)

Hope that helps
