Default Another thread about Met & Exhaustion

Hey Ladies,

I upped my dose of met yesterday from 1000 mg to 1500 mg, and once again I feel that druggy, exhausted, tingly feeling happening. The same thing happened to me when I upped the dose from 500mg to 1000mg. That time, I started taking a B-Complex vitamin and that feeling went away almost immediately. Since I'm already taking 1 a day of Twinlab - B-100 Caps (Vitamin B-Complex) and 2 a day of Citracal (ultradense calcium citrate w/vitamin D & Magnesium - one in the a.m. and one in the p.m.) what else can I do? Is it OK to take 2 of the B Complex vitamins a day? I really don't want to overdose on supplements, since I'm also taking a multi vitamin and antioxidant pill.

Has this happened to anybody else when they first upped their dose? I'm hoping that this feeling will go away on it's own, because I feel like I've taken a Benadryl or other medication like that, that totally knocks me out... I can't function like this!!!!

Any thoughts or recommendations on what to do?

TIA!!!

That happened to me when I upped my dose as well but it only lasted for a week and a half.

I wouldn't increase your B Complex. You get B vitamins from food (mostly carbs) as well... so if anything you'd likely be overdoing it.

The same thing happened to me, I was almost scared to death untill I read others on this board saying the same side effects happened to them. I mean it was so bad a couple of the days it felt like I couldn't even life my arm. But now its normal and Im just a little tired, nothing like before though.

Hey Ladies -- thanks for the responses!

Interestingly enough, I posted that on Saturday, and by the end of the day those symptoms had gone away on their own. I'm still feeling a little draggish, but nothing that gets in the way of me functioning like a normal human being.

Such a weird drug, no?
