Antara/Trigylcerite lowering drugs Has anyone else taken Antara? How have you got along with it? Any unpleasant side effects? How about prescription costs (in the US)?
My doctor just gave me a months prescription to try because my triglycerites were extremely high...but I don't know if I'm going to take them because I've never had a cholestrol problem before and I just re-started a whole new lifestyle regime so I'd rather try and lower my levels with diet and exercise first. Also, I just read through the info with the tablets and it says that Antara should only be given after all alternatives have been tried...my doctor hasn't given me a chance to do this. Admittably, my levels were horribly high but so was my BG when I was first diagnosed with Diabetes and now it's good for even a "normal" person.
What should I do?
