Hi,

I heard from a friend that anti-inflammatory meds such as advil can adversely effect PCOS. I was recently in a car accident and I need to take something for the disc that is bulging in my neck. Does anyone have info on how anti inflammatories hurt PCOS patients. I would like to know before I take something.

I have never heard of that. In fact my gyn has given me prescription anti-inflammatories to deal with PMS pain.

I think that your info is a little off, however, I could be wrong. One thing I do know, that might be connected to your info is that you cant use Spironolactone with Ibuprofen or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. Its a potassium level risk, and it could prove fatal.

i take naproxen every day, along with all my other meds and i have never had a problem, i was taking the naproxen when i was taking the met also.
