I have an ulcer (trust me I am actually happy with it!) and am on amoxicillin and Biaxin. I have heard that some anitbiotics make BCP's less effective. Is this true? or is it only for certain antibiotics? TIA

i'm not sure if only certain antibiotics make the bcp's less effective. I know I conceived my first son while taking antibiotics and didn't get a warning from the doc that I should use a back up method.
If you are actively having sex, I'd use an alternate form of protection just to be safe.
