Default Antibodies

When I was TTC I was diagnosed with having the thyroid antibodies. I was put on synthroid by my RE. I have been taking synthroid all through my pregnancy and after.

I recently went to my GP to get some synthroid refills. She gave me a refill, but did some blood tests.

She called me a couple of days later and said to stop taking the sythroid because my TSH was normal.

So should I be taking synthroid or not?

Also should be seeing an endocrinologist?

Uhm. The reason your TSH is normal is because of the synthroid, so KEEP TAKING IT! Your doctor is a QUACK!

Ask you see a specialist or something. Find another doc. There are specialists listed here:

Click on "top docs" to see if there is one in your area...

Duh... it's a hormone replacement. I can't believe the stupidity your doctor is showing here.... she could kill someone!!!
