Default Antihistamines..........I need to know

Have you ever taken Allegra, for allergies? Cause I have been taking it for about 2 months now and now I have an irregular heartbeat. Or the feeling of your heart racing. I get this when I take antihistimines.....such as robitussin.

Have any of you ever experienced this before? My allergist said it's unlikely, and I want to prove her wrong....if you look up Allegra online, it says "irregular hearbeat!"

sarah, i've taken allegra, but haven't gotten the irregular heartbeat (now that only happens to me with stuff like sudafed...which is something new since i used to live off the stuff about five years ago).

anywho, what i really wanted to say, is get a new doc! no joke, fooling with irregular heartbeats is not cool. especially if the drug company warns that irregular heartbeats is a possible side effect. good luck!

Well I'm not sure if it is the Allegra.....it could also be nerves or anxiety......I do get panic attacks. I haven't figured out yet if I bring it on myself or if it is indeed from the Allegra. I know that when I take Robitussin that I get heart palpitations if I stay on it for too long.....and that contains an antihistimine.

I'm only on the plain Allegra, not the one which contains a decongestant. Those can really screw you up!
