Hi can anyone give me any first hand experience of this disorder, I have not been diagnosed with this, but I'm wondering..

My symptoms: 1 mc
blood clots in bruises
migraines
bad circulation(feel cold all the time)

My best friend was just diagnosed with one of the subsets: Lupus anticoagulant. We only discovered it after she suffered a minor stroke (at 26!) a few months ago.

You have the same general symptoms that she had, but they also fit 8 billion other diseases. If you've only had one m/c, it might be hard to get the docs to listen to you---but since you're already dealing with fertility stuff, obviously, you actually have a chance to convince them to run the tests.

Definitely worth it if you can catch it early, my poor friend is on coumadin "indefinitely".

I have had 5 losses and was diagnosed with Antiphosphilopid syndrome(aka Hughes Syndrome) after my 5th loss.

I need to be on baby asprin daily (ttc, while pg, or even if not ttc). If we do get pg then I will more than likely go on heparin shots daily. Also, bcp's are out of the question.

I know that most Drs will only run these test unless you have suffered multiple losses. I also agree that the symptoms do not really mean anything because I don't feel any of those.

Thankyou both girls for sharing. I'm not really convinced I have this and agree that my symptoms could be anything (maybe just pcos!!)
thanks again, I might mention it to my doc just to see what she thinks but I'm not too worried now.
