Default Anxiety ?

I posted this on the Do you have this problem board and thought I should post it here as well:

Hi ladies,

I wanted to know if any of you has any anxiety problems? The reason I am asking is because I used to have really really bad anxiety attacks and then my dr. put me on 20 mg of Lexapro daily and that has helped alot. Well these past 2 days I seemed to have gotten the anxiety attacks again and I am not sure why. I also want to know if any of you feels really tired after an attack and also feel dizzy and light headed after experiencing one. I just don't know what to do.

Amy: I started having really bad attacks a few months ago to where I thought I was gonna die it was so bad. I had the dizzy light head feeling as well. My GP put me on Lexapro and I ended up at Urgent Care bc it made me feel 1000x worse and put me in such a panic it didnt end until after the nurse gave me a klonopin. Anyhow I eventually switched to Zoloft and was on klonopin a few times a day to prevent. I finally have felt better and lowered my klonopin and upped my zoloft. I am also doing therapy which has helped a ton to learn different techniques to control it like breathing. I was a mess before and yes I still get mini attacks but can usually control them before they turn into a massive one. Anxiety attacks are the worst thing that ever happened in my life. They were/are so scary I thought I was gonna die. I have never felt so hopeless in my life. Without medicine and therapy I have no idea where I would be right now. I am no where near cured of anxiety but I am so much better than I was a while ago. I would def. seek therapy and another medicine if Lexapro is making you feel worse. Hugs!

Hi Amy,
I've been on Buspar for 2 years now for Anxiety. It has helped me a great deal. My anxiety attacks were so bad that I would not leave the house. I was on Lexapro for some time as well but it was only for depression. The Buspar may be an option for you as well.

Thank you ladies for your replies... I also have had real bad anxiety attacks before so I know how awful and scary that can be. I am hoping that I am not on that road to getting bad one's again. I am taking Lexapro daily to relieve it and it has worked up this point. I am just getting scared cause it's not a great feeling to have.
