I know this board is about depression, which I do suffer sometimes, but I really have more anxiety than anything.
There are many reasons from my past, but I am sure it could also be related to TTC.
Just wondering if anyone else here has it. I skimmed through a few pages but didn't see it mentioned.
I have a prescription for Xanax and Ambien CR, but I rarely use either since I'm TTC.

Yes, there's a great deal of overlap between anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues so there are a number of folks around with various types of anxiety issues.

Interestingly natural progesterone dissolved my anxiety after a short time.
Later I learned it is because NPCream is sedative in it's affect.
I never tried anti anxiety meds.

Hi,
I have anxiety too. I always thought it was just depression and then, when I was pg with my ds, one of my doctors recognized it as anxiety and everything made sense. I started benzodiazepines (Ativan, Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, etc.) while pg and now (five years later) I only use Klonopin on an as needed basis. I don't think I've taken any since September. Of course, we are ttc now so I will definitely not be using any. It's especially important not to use in the first trimester but I will stay on my Prozac. I went off Zoloft cold turkey before conceiving my ds and that was not a good idea. So, fortunately, my current psychiatrist is a psychiatric pregnancy expert (I didn't even know they existed) and I feel like I really have a support team should I get pg again.
I don't know how any of this is connected to the PCOS but it wouldn't surprise me if it somehow was. Actually, it seems like hormones must have something to do with it.
Keep us updated. Good luck!

Anxiety sucks... and often goes hand in hand with depression. Write down the triggers to your anxiety for your doctor so that they can help you with meds and coping strategies. Using meds and coping strategies helped me to get my anxiety under control... I haven't had to take meds in almost 2 years
I have it a lot of the time I can't go into big stores for more than 20 min by myself so it makes going to get things hard for me sometimes I can't be in croweds at all I don't take anything for it other than leaveing the situation and going back if I have to at a latter time and date. I can also have anxiaty just siting in my liveing room at home so you are not alone on that.
I get anxiety any time I am in unknown territory - whether it's driving down an unfamiliar road, going in an unfamiliar store, or even seeing a new doctor.
There are other times, too. I sometimes get irrational fears that someone is going to break into my house or set it on fire. I'm sure that's because three homes within my family have burned..
But yeah, just things like that.

Well, it's probably because I lived there for my entire life except for the past 2 years
I grew up right outside of NOLA

Anxiety Attacks theyre horrible.
i get them all the time.
and i feel like my heart is racing.
and i end up throwing everything out of my room cause i feel so closed in.
There are definitely treatment options out there--cognitive behavioral therapy (relearning how to think about anxiety provoking situations) helped me a lot, and many of the SSRI's (e.g. prozak) are very helpful without the addictive potential of some of the straight anti-anxiety meds.
Have you talked to a doctor about this?

Then, my doctor put me on Serzone. The FDA pulled it a while back, but there are mad lawsuits going on right now. It gave me an issue with my heart.
The only thing I really take is Xanax every now and then. It doesn't even really help.

I've suffered with a depression / anxiety mix, too. It sucks - you aren't alone. I found that yoga really helped ease the anxiety - and I was consuming a TON of caffeine everyday, so cutting back to one latte in the morning (no soft drinks or anything else later on) has helped me tremendously.
