Arrow Is Anxiety a side effect?

I am consipated, queesy, and feel like I am "coming out of my skin" with anxiety?? My MIL (who is a diabetic) said that anxiety is a big side effect according to her doctor... but I haven't seen it listed here...

I am on 850 mg once a day... I tried to increse to twice a day last weekend and was so sick with dirrrhea and vomitting... I have to try to increase again this weekend... I am planning on splitting the pill and only taking 1 and a half...1475 mg... My doctor told me to try to take tthe entire dose at night instead of once in the AM & PM... Has taking it like this helped anyone lessen the side effects????

I would think splitting it up would b better. Thats in my opinion. I take mine 12 hours apart to keep a consistant level in my body.

About the anxiety, during the first couple of weeks taking it i did feel like i was losing my mind. I figure its from my hormones changing due to the regulation of insulin. I am feeling better now after 2 months.

good luck

What kind of metformin? Im on Metformin XR and I have very minimal side effects. Its the same as glucophage XR which is known to have less side effects. I dunno, I think with met, most any side effect is possible.
