Hey ladies..

So for an update...they retrieved 14 eggs...the doc said 12 were great...one was abnormal and one was too immature...so 12 eggs were fertilized...i am still hoping for a 5 day blastocyst transfer. I was told that the doctors office will call me tommorrow evening to let me know if they are going to do a 3 or 5 day transfer. Right now, I am aching and paining...i didnt think it was going to hurt so much...they gave me painkillers...so that helps somewhat. I am hoping the pain is gone in the next day or so...

It rained all darn day here in Mumbai, India. I didnt feel like getting out much anyways but I am also tired of being stuck inside...i think its becasue the room we are staying in is small...part of me wishes that i was done with the transfer and back in my home village in the state of Gujurat. oh well...i have the patience of a fly...hahaha...

Welcome newcomers!

Good luck to all of you! I will keep you posted.

Hi Anjali,

Congrats 12 is a good number. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the 5 day transfer. I hope the pain will subside. Did the doc give any explanation for the pain?

dear you would need all the patience for the 2 week waiting period , thats the toughest time with your mind playing the same song .. am I pregnant or am I not...

Congrats and best of luck for the next steps.

My prayers are with you
Sending baby dust your way

Hi Anjali...

hope you get the news for a 5day transfer....

regarding your upset stomach...i agree that when you visit India after so many years then your immune system is different and eating outside specially in this hot and humid weather could be the cuplrit...but next time when you talk to the doctor do mention about your pain and diareaha...and also keep checking that your pain is not increasing and you don't feel bloated....hope you get well soon...

regarding me...after my failed frozen transfer, my body is going crazy as I haven't had my AF (last was on 15may)....though I am not regular being PCOS but still its quite late...may be the hormone thing...anyway I am having an appointment on next monday the 20th July with a new RE...so lets see what plan they have or else I will be coming back to India in September and then see somebody there....

all the best for your transfer...

Today i had my 2nd superovulation with IUI cycle prior to the rupture and have been given in injection so the doc is planning to do another IUI post 24 hours. I have been prescribed progynova and gestofit for the next 15 days and asked to do the UPT test on 30th. Hope it works this time!

How about your Chitchat? What options have you tried so far? Btw have you taken metformin anytime? In fact i have been taking it since past 7 mnths but i have not lost any weight and besides the cyst is also there
since past 6 mnths. Any suggestions?

Hi Anjali!

I was just reading your post and was curious to know about blastocyst transfer. So far i have had three failed IUI's and now iam undergoing the second cycle of superovulation with IUI. Today i had an IUI and tmrw after 24 hrs, have another round of IUI. Just worried a bit now.

I have been prescribed Metformin from past 7 mnths and was on diane-35 for about 3 mnths. Still no luck as the cyst has been persistent since last 6 mnths.

Had a diagnostic lapro and hysteroscopy done last year and everything is normal so the doc concluded that its "unexplained infertility". Most prob we may have to undergo IVF if this cycle fails, so wanted to know more info on IVF.

Wish you loads of luck and lots of baby dust to you!

Default ivf vs ivm?

Hiya ladies, im asian too...chinese born in Australia. I was dianosed with PCOS this year...imquite healthy, very active, always at the gym, ..5ft4 at 48kgs. So as you can see PCOS can affect different body types. I was put on clomid but was unsuccesful and will be starting IVM next month..was curious why my specialist did not recommend me straight to IVF...will find out at next weeks appointment.
