and how are you doing..? have got any symptoms after the IUI..?
I know the 2ww is difficult but worth it if we get positive results ...hope this is the cycle for you...!! sticky vibes...
I just typed the link you gave and found the site..it was Yeah iam doing fine chitchat. Not yet, it's just been 2 days since my IUI got over and usually i experience slight pain and discomfort but this time
iam feeling so normal:-( donno if that's a good or a bad sign.
Thanks for your wishes..even i hope things work out but you never know..last time i had two follicles and this time there was only one
and that too with a cyst on the left side.
I hope you found the information useful on the site. From my experience, what i can tell you is that Dr. Bharati is a very professional doctor and suggests the best treatment and success rates are also good for the clinic. In case you ever land in Pune, you can definetely give a try!
I was feeling quite low for the past few days...which I think is a part of this TTC journey...
I had a meeting with a new fertility consultant on 20th July and I discussed about having any other option beside ICSI..like IUI or anything that can reduce the risk of OHSS...but they clearly said that ICSI is the only option...though to a certain extent I am convinced by this as in my case male factor of low count and motility is there so ICSI is suggested but at times I feel could it be because I had one cycle of ICSI so they obviously think on the similar grounds...??
Also I am confused about having another funded cycle in UK or to have it from India...if we opt for a funded cycle here in UK then we won't be paying anything out of pocket but a fear of OHSS and that we will be alone without family will be haunting...having it in India is another option..though money is not an issue but still reseraching that whether it is as advanced as here..and the fact that there doctors do it everything on their own and here its an team effort....so not sure that which is better option to avoid OHSS as well have positive outcomes...one mind says that in India doctors are dealing more with PCOS patients and here it is difficult to convey your concern to each and every person as scans are done by somebody else, eggs retreived by another person and embryos inserted by yet another....
its decision time....whether to extend out stay here or go back in sep end to india...very confused...sighhh....
I am also an Indian.
I am new to this website, and never knew I would find so many Indian frenz of mine.
Sorry chitchat, I dont know anything about OHSS, i am pretty new to PCOS. I am 28 years old and always had regular periods all my life time and just 3 months back they disappearsed suddenly. With the ultrasound I found that I have PCOS. My doctor gave me provera which induced very painful periods 10 days later. We are TTC # 10 months and it is frustating. I started doing yoga/pranayams and they helped me in the way that i feel much healthier now and also lost 3 KGS weight in 1.5 months. I am 5'7" at 57.8 Kgs now.
this month my periods were due on 18th Jule, still have not got them and so very confused!!
Has someone experienced something similar?
Have you gotten a second opinion? If another doctor can say the same then there is a possibility this is your best option. I am big believer that you should be an advocate for your healthcare. Get informed and ask alot of questions. Doctors are humans too and they can be stupid or dumbasses. I have on many occasions told my doctor that I don't think he/she knows what he/she is talking about.
Have you considered coming to the US for treatment? I have read online that alot of people in the UK have traveled to the US and have had success when they have been unsuccessful in the UK. If you do come to the US, buy your drugs in the UK, it is alot cheaper! (I traveled to the UK for my fertility drugs.) I have read that people have had success in the Czech Republic too.
Good luck on getting pregnant. What ever your decision is, make sure it is something that you are comfortable with.

any thoughts..??
Hi!
In my opinion, it would be good to come and see a few infertility specialiasts in India as well. This will help you to take a good decision whether to opt for ICSI in India or back in UK. Iam sure the fertility clinics in India also have good treatment facilities and they have enough experience treating PCOS patients with other fertlity related problems.
No harm in taking a second opinion.wot say:-) keep up the faith and all the very best!
Thanks a lot for the advice...ya it is a good thought to have a yet another opinion....regarding the US option I will for sure consider it if needed in future...as my husband's job is such that he can be posted there...
and yup very true that in this TTC journey we have started understanding our bodies more than anybody else...
Hi mystery..
ya we are deciding to come back in sept end and give it a go there...I have researched a lot and yes some clinics and doctors are very efficient...the only thing which scares me is that one may not be in wrong hands..as in India every person would be giving you opinion about atleast 5 best doctors...LOL.....but I am quite positive about a couple of clinics so lets see where we land up....
Its a great place to share, discuss and have others' views...so hang in here...
In PCOS it is very common to have irregular periods...even I am quite late this time...but mine have always been irregular....in your case there is a possibility that you have recently had some hormonal upsets but there is also a possibility that sometimes the periods are regular and still PCOS could be there(not meant to scare you, just for the info and read a lot about PCOS)....as per my knowledge the provera is given for some days to supplement progesterone and when stopped the progesterone levels drop and induces periods....
they normally say that a couple need to try atleast for one year naturally before seeking further medical advice...so you still have a high chance...and yoga is the BEST, keep doing it...the pranayam and specially the Kapalbharti is believed to remove any cysts and a must for PCOS....and also concentrate on healthy diet....
While doing research on the Indian IVF Clinics I came across a survey done by Outlook Magazine in 2002, I am not sure how relevant it is now since its an old survey... but something worth looking into. Are clinics shortlisted by you matching the ones below or diff?
As per the survey top clinic in
Mumbai 1)Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre 2) Inkus IVF Centre (Indira Hinduja's) 3) Malpani Infertility Clinic 4) Bombay Hospital 5) Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai
Delhi 1) Sir Ganga Ram Hospital 2) Delhi IVF Centre 3) Mother & Child Hospital 4) Indraprastha Apollo Hospital 5) Dr. Butani's Clinic

Thanks Chit Chat for your kind suggestions.
As per me, I am confused if would have PCOS despite having normal cycles all these years. I never had other symtoms of PCOS like hair loss, facial hair etc. My body weight has also been constantly the same.
You were right in saying tht doing kapalbhati, one can get rid of cysts. The last ultra sound showed that I dont have any cysts but still didnt have periods this month!
So, just a moment for an update. I did not get pregnant this cycle. AF arrived yesterday. I had a beta done just in case...but it was less than 2. I was so depressed yesterday, I kept thinking...everything went perfect...so, i am sitting here wondering if i did something wrong on my end. Anyways, I am gearing up and preparing to go again...to have a FET...i still have 5 frozen blastocysts waiting for me. I figure I will try again before I head back to the states...
Dr. Malpani here was awesome. He and his wife did all the scans, the transfer, and the retrieval. The clinin itself is small...but the feeling of support and caring was awesome for me. The only other doc I really talked with was their younger assisstant. I was overall very scared and apprehensive about coming to India for IVF since I cant afford to do it in the states....it takes alot of money and my work insurance does not cover it. So India was the only option. And I was so pleasantly happy with my experience. I tried not to compare the environment of the clinic to the us...instead looked at the quality of the care...
Hope this helps those with questions. I did by the way look into Lilavati and Jaslok but decided on Malpani because he has only done IVF at this clinic for over 15 years...he doesnt do other procedures...so he is like a specialist at it...and he was great!

ohhh Anjali....I am sooooo sorry....loads of hugs...I can't even imagine how must be feeling right now....hope being with family helps a bit...
now the good thing is that you have got frozen embryos...so go for it...we will be praying for you....
another thing...though I am myself looking forward to ICSI and believe in western medicine but I am a firm believer of natural therapies...they say that implantation doesn't take pace if our body is not prepared for it or is in stress and it consider the embryo as foreign body...now obsiously how can we be so realxed in the 2ww...so if possible try doing accupuncture with FET...it increases the blood flow to the uterus and no doubt will make us relax...I have myself never done that but was wondering it that could help...just an advice...otherwise have faith...GOD can't test us for so long...
hoping you all the very best..and loads of baby dust...
I am so glad that you have the 5 frozen blastocysts for the FET cycle. I hope Dr Malapani is checking and addressing (if any) immunological issues. Best of luck for the FET cycle.
Was just wondering that if you havn't got cysts (as the name PCOS), no weight gain, no excess hair and regular cycles most of the time...then what made your doctor conclude that you have PCOS..??
It is worth asking them next time...just inquire that whether the size of the ovaries or anything else in the ultrasound was wrong? or whether some blood tests show some hormonal changes like estrogen, progesterone levels or FSH/LH or anything else..??
I was doing some research on some Indian doctor who specializes in PCOS and got the following information:
