Thanks for the support and encouragement - you all are so wonderful - I see the gyn on the 15th - that's the earliest I could get and I trust her more than anyone and pray it's nothing too serious but a thick lining from last cycle. I just want it to go away already. I called the nurse and she told me that maybe I need a compounded version of progesterone. Hope everyone is doing well and welcome to all the new cysters.

Ahnie..I am so sorry...yesterday I forgot to answer you! I am doing well. Better today though, because I got the stuff I needed to get done at work prepared so all is better today! How are you doing? Did the MMR shot hurt?

Welcome Little Cyster...tell us about yourself...

Hi everyone! and thanks for the welcome Anjali

I'm 23 years old and I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago. I am of filipino/chinese descent. I dont fit the typical image of someone with PCOS as I am short 5'3" and i weigh about 110 lbs. The only symptom I have is irregular periods and my doctor put me on birth control pills.

when i fould out i had pcos i never really thought much of it because my symptoms are not superficial, but lately i've become more concerned especially because both my parents are diabetic. Also, the idea of infertility has also become more of a worry as I am getting older.

I'm really glad to have found ppl with similar issues as me. I dont think i know of any other women with PCOS and i've found it hard to deal with because although everyone i know tries to be understanding, they can never really know what its like.
anyways, I look forward to getting to know all of you. this site is amazing!

Default i had my surgery.

hello girls. i had my surgery on Saturday at 9:30am. my husband was with me all the time except inside the OT. there was a tube put on my left hand, and the anaesthesist said i would feel something cold with what he was about to put into the tube and then i was gone. when i woke up there were tears in my eyes and i was asking the nurse if everything was ok and and the discomfort i was feeling in my throat because of the tubes they had put into my throat. i was shivering so asked for two extra blankets. i asked her to remove the oxygen mask as it was not comfortable as well. it was 11:30 am when they took me back to my room and my sweet husband was waiting for me. all i wanted to do was hear from someone that everything went ok and i was soon going to have babies. my doctor had a more operations to do so he came to see me at 1:30pm and said- evrything was ok, my fallopian tubes were not blocked but they were weak, i did not know what that meant. so i started to ask him how i could make my tubes stronger and i wanted to ask him so much more but he said that you are still under the influence of anaesthesia. he was unable to tell me anything more than what happened with the surgery. he has asked me to see him in two weeks, i am going on tuesday to get my stitches removed. i had three incisions done for the laproscopy and the hysteroscopy. he said the course pf treatment for me would be six months of clomid and then may be IVF. its a bit scary. all we would like is to have a baby and im hoping god will help us. i have read so many stories about clomid, nad the different stages at which it has brought about the desired results. fingers crossed.

this is all about me since the operation.

i am reading all the messages left by all the girls on this site and its good to read all your thoughts.

wishing everyone the very best and may god bless you all.

shalini x.

Hello all,

Just finished setting up my classroom for the new year...hence why no one has heard from me. On top of that I've been dealing with menstrual cramps...I had to use provera to kick start it again! It really upsets me that I have to rely on drugs to get my period. I also started to see a counsellor on the advice of my doctor. I have to admit that I was surprised that everything I have been going through, fertility and non-fertility, had explanations. It has answered alot for me! I recommend seeing a counsellor to everyone, it helps and you get a sense of peace after.

Shalini...it will happen for you! I know it is frustrating!

Anjali...I am jealous that you were ready for the new school year so early!!! I still feel like I'm not prepared! On top of it the stress of having a baby is starting to take its toll!

I have switched to organic milk...one item at a time!!

Take care everyone!

Shalini..let me know how everything goes with the surgery and its effects. I am getting that surgery done in October. I would love all the advice I can get. Hope you are getting better soon!

Tasha...I went crazy with long days trying to get that room ready for school to start! LOL! I am glad you are getting the answers you need. And, I also hate cramps!

Hope everyone else is doing good...

Evening Ladies!

Shalini am very hopeful that all will turn out well for you...do keep us posted. It is surely a very anxious state for you and your sweet husband. I had taken a round of clomid myself and yes it was successful the first time, so I am going to keep my fingers crossed for you!

Anjali - you will be going in for the procedure soon...is this an outpatient procedure? what is the time you need to heal? Tasha and Anajli - I guess you both are ready for the school year to begin - how exciting, which grades do you'll teach?

How are the rest of the girls doing? I have been taking one day at a time to eat sensibly and walking has helped me with my bleeding issue. Anybody taking fish oil supplements here...does anyone know of a good brand?

Avantika...its an in patient surgery. I am not sure how I will be feeling afterwards, but my mom wants to come help me...personally, I think she just misses being a "mommy" and wants to come cater to me! lol! It takes 2 to 4 days to heal they say.

I teach 8th grade science. I am already grading papers! Its actually what I am doing today!

Hope things are going well for you ladies...

Has anyone tried Nioxin to help hair grow back? I went drastic at the hair salon last week and cut off 8 inches and put in layers to help make my hair look thicker. I wonder if there is anything I can take to help it grow back. My doctor said being pregnant can help. I hope so when my time comes.

Hi ladies,

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply and talk to you. I have been feeling so horrible since Friday. We went over to my husbands bestfriends house and were told, along with their family members, that they are expecting a baby. Don't get me wrong...I am sooo happy for them and will love their child as if it were actually my niece or nephew...its just so frustrating that they only decided to stop their birth control three months ago and they are already 9 weeks along. I am mad, frustrated, and angry. The bestfriends wife didn't want to get pregnant so soon. It was highly unexpected. And then here I am...trying for the last year and a half and nothing!! I feel as if that nothing is going to work for me...I am losing hope and don't want that. I really need your guys support right now. I am trying so hard to be strong, we spent the entire weekend with them and it was soooo hard. It is not their fault, and I love them to death...but why can't I be pregnant?

Hope all of you are doing better.
Tasha

Default all the lovely girls.

dearest girls,
today i went to see my doctor after my laproscopy on 30th of aug. it was a good meeting as my dear husband's results were there as well and the doctor said it was all very good with his report, so well done to my husband. now its my turn, the doctor said everything was good with me as well. i mean the biopsy of the cells from the uterus, just the fallopian tubes are a little weak. but thats not a big problem, he has sent for me to be seen at the queens hospital, where i'll begin a cycle of chlomid. hopefully all should work out good for all of us girls who purely desire to have a baby. may god bless us all. then i told my doctor that i was on my 48th day and had not started my period. and he replied- have you done the pregnancy test and i said no, so he has asked me to go home and do the test. i'll be doing it tomorrow. keeping fingers crossed, lets see girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! may i give you all a good news soon. just like this all of us can share it when we get the positive result. and i am behaving like my result has already come out to be positive, oh i wish now it to be the answer to our prayer. i believe god is out there helping all of us. lets be strong and have faith. i know all around us girls are having babies, but just like us they also desire in their hearts to be a mum one day, their day has come earlier than ours, right!

love
shalini

Hey everyone,
how are you? i hope that you all are well...
Tasha,
sorry to hear about your weekend...hang in there...your time probably hasnt reached yet...but it will soon...i know it cant be easy, but dont give up hope. just give it your best shot...and remember, as a last resort, you can always adopt. perhaps you are meant to provide some poor kid with a family...maybe that's God's purpose...and even then, you can still keep trying to become pregnant. its when you least expect it, that it will happen...hang in there...
hey, shalini, good luck in your results...atleast if even one of us gets pregnant, it increases hope for the rest of us...
JA, losing weight isnt easy...what meds are you on?
take care.

Tasha I can relate to your experience - although not specific to conceiving but to other things that dont seem fair as far as your health. I think these experiences do make us stronger and appreciate the things that we have. You have a wonderful husband and I think positive energy of feeling happy will make your hormones better for you to get that good karma and good energy.
You are surely strong and kind hearted to feel happy for your friend but feel sad for yourself. I truely hope that you get your share of happiness soon.

Shalini...let us know your results...I can't wait...my best wishes. Good to hear from you sri. I had to cancel my appt with the gyn this monday since I started my AF - am so tired of this. I want to get an ultrasound and lab work done since it has been over a year. The pelvic pain and heavy bleeds are overwhelming.

Tasha...vent out your feelings...
