Yay, glad there is another Lankan! Where are you living?

Anyways, I am glad that the Met is working for you, DH sees improvement in my energy since on it and I hope to lose the weight. I need to start exercising more regularly and that should help, right?

Well, I hope to get to know you and others in this forum! It is nice to talk to women who understand what I am going through

I'm living in SL, in Ratmalana.

Yes, exercise definitely helps. But to be honest, I really haven't been at it regularly. I'm having a hard time finding time to do it since we leave home early and always get back late. By then, I'm exhausted and exercise is the last thing on my mind! However, I did start eating healthier but cutting back on fatty and junky stuff, and I've read that this helps as well.

I find the people on this forum simply wonderful. It's amazing how friendly and supportive they all are! And yes, it's nice to talk to others who are in the same boat!

hi Mala, I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 16. I am 28 now. I too had extremely regular 28 day cycles when i was younger (teens/ early 20's) and have always been thin. Now that i am older, my cycles are longer more irregular. Have you tried charting your basal body temperature to find out if you are ovulating? What are your symptoms? On what basis did the doctor diagnose you?

Default count me in...

hey..I m new here but not new to PCOS....greattt thread.....good going...

I m 27 and an Indian..was sort of diagnosed in teens only but never heard the word PCOS...after marg only was diagnosed again as having problems with conceiving...I have been TTC for past 2.5 years (married for 3.5 yrs)...had one cycle of IVF as well but not a success...my symptoms of PCOS are I think moderate with a bit hairy, and irregular periods (which improved after marg)....also unfortunately mu hubby was also diagnosed with low count and motility which further makes us a candidate for infertility...

I am in UK for the past 3yrs and had my IVF cycle done here but as a result of medicines developed very severe OHSS (a syndrom of hyperstimulation of ovaries which occurs more commonly with those having PCOS and young)...so I would recommend that anybody before going through IVF must read a lottt about it...just google it or ask me anything, i would be more than happy to help...

congratss to shalini and tasha for their BFPs....
and Anjali I am sure you must be in middle of IVF by now...do keep us posted with your experience and results....
actually I may also be looking for Malpani clinic in India for my future attempts of IVF so would luv to hear your experience....

all the best to rest all....

Hi everyone, I am new to the soulcysters, glad to find this thread.

I have PCOS and TTC since 3 years, 3 IVF failed cycles (US) .. as per doctor the culprit is egg quality . I was hoping to get some information regarding good IVF institues in India.

Anjali, hope your IVF cycle went well. Best of Luck. Will really appreciate if you can share your experience with IVF in india Which institue did you use?

Welcome hoping for miracle!

I am currently in India at the Malpani IVF Clinic in Mumbai. I have started my cycle and today is my egg retrieval day. The scans show 14 follicles but I am not sure what they will retrieve. I have been have alot of pain after taking the hcg shot...i am hoping it gets better...but everything i read says it will not be better and that i may still experience some pain.

My doc is hoping for a blastocyst transfer next tuesday...i am so ready...

Did they doctors tell you any reasons why your cycles did not work? Hope things get better for you...

I was born in Canada...lived in the us...and then married a man from india...

Started trying to concieve a year after marriage. I suffer from both pcos and endo...i have tried everything...clomid didnt work for me...i was up to 200mg a day! I then skipped femara and moved onto injectables...i responded well but didnt know about the endo until i had a surgery done and had it diagnosed and then cleared up. After that, I decided to try IVF...but the expense is too much in the us and decided india would be a better opportunity and being that i still have family here...

the only thing that sucks is that I only had a chance to come during heat and rains...lol...so it makes it more uncomfortable...but did my research and decided on Malpani instead of clinics in my native gujurat....he is touted as one of the top 5 ivf docs in india...

hope this helps!

hiii Anjali....ohhh dear that is soo sweet of you that you are sharing with us in the middle of your cycle....hoping you all the very best and all the prayers are with you....

blytocyst transfer seems a good option....and have you asked your doctor that why pain is there after HCG shot...?? as far I remember I had no pain after that...just keep asking the questions from doctor...it helps!! LOL...

which doctor is doing your IVF..DR Anirudh or DR Anjali..?? which protocol/medicines they have used so far? sorry I am asking so many questions....you just relax and take good care of yourself and I will be keeping in touch with you....

I am basically from New Delhi, India...have been in UK for the past 3years..and had one failed IVF cycle...had developed OHSS so was afraid to give it another go..I have an appointment with a new RE on 20th July...so if they have no good option for me to avoid OHSS so I will be heading towards Malpani Clinic...ya even I have heard that they are among top 5 clinics....

yes we have heard that itsss sooo hot these days in India...but I am sure that the excitement of transfer will make you forget that....

wishing you all the success.....

Default PCOS and IUI

I stay in India and i was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago and after that underwent lapro and hysteroscopy to find that everything was normal. Then, i underwent 2 IUI cycles which failed and then was put on diane for 3 cycles and metformin for 6 mnths but still no progress:-(
It's all a matter of luck..just need to hv patience..all PCOS patients!
