OMG! My 16 year old cousing began having seizures on Tuesday. She had several and was sent to ICU. They thought that she was getting better and released her, however on Monday, she blanked out and returned to the ICU were she remains tonight. She is a merit student at school, but at the present time she can't remember important things like her name or her closest relatives. She comes and goes from complete oblivian and she can't really talk. The Dr's have given her EEKG's, MRI, bloodwork and they still don't know what happed. She is a good girl -still a virgin and no drugs there is no explaination for this. They are still running test. Pray for Jonay and family. | |

Thank you for all the prayers. I visit every AM. As of Thursday, she still can't talk...she is very much listless. The Dr's are baffled, they are doing another round of MRI, spinal tap and blood work. | |

Have they started her on meds yet? My son is 6 months old and is on Phenobarbitol but I have heard lamictal is good with few side effects . . . once they get her seizures under control they can figure out the cause but the longer she just keeps having them the bigger the chance that there is permanent damage.
I will pray for comfort, healing, understanding for all of you and for healing and comfort for her, as well as knowledge for your docs . . .GOD BLESS!

I'm posting blind here...so forgive me for not replying to whatever the current course of conversation is. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm a Christian. I haven't been formally diagnosed with PCOS; however, I know that God has been working in my life. Last week I had surgery to remove cysts and I'm healing very well! The doctor seemed very optimistic about conceiving in the future.
I know PCOS effects more than fertility though (ie: unwanted excess weight & facial hair). It's also reassuring to know that God made me--He looks at the heart...not the exterior! | |
