Hi ladies!

I have made the decision to not have any more children, so I am opting for permanent birth control. Instead of a traditional tubal ligation, my OBGYN is recommending the Essure procedure.

This is fine with me--I was cool with either method. However, have any of you had this procedure? They called to schedule it today, and here's my concern: it has to be done on cd 5-11. My cycles have always been completely wonky and lately I've been running about 6 weeks between cycles, so it was scheduled based on that, but I'm terrified that my cycles will get all off and the scheduling won't work out, and it's so very difficult to even be able to guess an amount of cycle days/weeks when scheduling something like this.

Has anyone had this procedure? If so, how did you deal with the whole scheduling around your cycles part?
