My mom actually made it for me when I was younger but cause I would never get AF on time. And yea it was nasttyyy. So I stopped drinking it. She came back from DR last month and said she was going to make it for me but she hasnt had time...=[. Hope it works out for you. Im gonna do the search to see if I can make it myself.

JenGemini, when your mother made it for you did it work? Did it bring down AF? I'm wondering how long I should wait before I go back and ask for an ultrasound. And do you girls think I should even mention to my doctor that I am taking this?

Bueno my doctors always tell me dont take anything that we didnt give you. And everytime I ask them about stuff I read about on this site they say that its not proven that this and that works. Maybe your doctor is more open minded. And aabout the jarabe....I stopped drinking it cause it was too nasty and I was like 14.

I am Dominican, I am 22 years old and I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 15 years old..for the past few years the side effects of pcos have taken a toll on me emotionally and physically..I Struggled with hurtuism , weight gain, acne, depression, iregular cycles..I have bin taking metformin for a month and I feel happier more energized and finally I am strting to loose weight...for all my dominican cysters you are not alone.
Hello to all. I am a Dominican 24 year old. I was diagnosed about a year ago. I continued on birth control for about 9 months. 11/08 i got off BC and started trying to conceive. I am on month two of tryin and nothing yet. My doctor told me to continue trying for 6months, at which time she will RX meds....Any thoughts? Recommendations?
About the jarave de remolacha y molasa, mami told me about that but never payed her any mind cuz she has so many remedios...lol.. I may give that a try now that i hear this.
Bueno, my grandmother came to visit our family this winter for the holidays y ella me trajo una botella de melasas. I research it in english and all that came up was black strap molasses ..I guess a table spoon a day is good for acne , cancer prevention but it said nothing about ovarian cyst. Since I have bin on 850 mg of Metformin I have bin having regular menstraul cycles for the past few months. pero I am not sure if the molasses have something to do with it or if its just because the metformin also regulates your hormones and promotes avulation...pero I am gonna keep taking it..hey there is no harm in trying.
Hey, I ahve a question for you about the jarabe/ la botella. So i just came back from the dominican republic. i was told by family of this bottle that they prepare with molases, beets and other herbs that get u pregnant fast. SO i wanted to know how was your experience con la btella? how many times a day you took it and how much? and how long did it take for you to get pregnant.
If any of you out there know please pass down some info...thank you!!!!

Wow, it's so nice to hear from other Latinas that are having the same problems as I am. I'm Puerto Rican and half Dominican. I live in San diego and I feel like other people just don't understand the pressure I feel to have a baby. I'm 30 years old and was diagnosed at the age of 19. I got off the pill in March and am trying to get pregnant. The waiting period is really getting to me. What if I'm not pregnant, what do I do to get my period? Anyone have any advice? I'm on 1500mlg. of Metformin.
